At Luttec, we consolidate the individual efforts each stakeholder puts into BIM for a project. Rize's Linea (Surrey, BC)

​Architecture that acts as a form of public art elevates our aesthetic experience of the everyday. Linea’s elegant contours portray a beauty of form with utterly functional intent. Fluid exteriors create sweeping outdoor spaces that flow seamlessly from expansive indoor living spaces, where careful purpose can be found in every detail.

BIM was heavily utilized to coordinated below grade floors including mechanical rooms and utility lines. Detailed models were developed to reflect the MEP systems through which the routes were coordinated and communicated. Once issues were resolved, detailed shop drawings were generated for contractors' use.

Rize's Onyx (Vancouver, BC)

The Terminal District is Vancouver’s next great neighborhood, concentrating on the region’s most forward-thinking industries inside a thriving hub in the False Creek Flats. Adding to this community’s growing acclaim is The Onyx at 1296 Station Street. Its sculptural innovation and thoughtful floor plans make this one of the most talked-about commercial and retail structures in the city.

BIM was used to generate accurate takeoff and estimation for the entire structural scope of the project including formwork contact area, concrete volume, and all other structural components of the project.

Brentwood Phase 0 Constructability Review (Burnaby, BC)

Twenty-eight acres in a prime Burnaby location is transforming into a sophisticated dining, shopping and residential community unlike anything this region has ever seen. What will Brentwood feel like? Amazing. An on-site SkyTrain station will whisk guests into our breathtaking public plaza brimming with festivals, markets and unforgettable seasonal events. Its wide, walkable boulevards will be lined with restaurants and retailers, and will lead to a shopping experience offering the city’s most desirable retail mix. YVR A-B Connector (Vancouver, BC)

​The $213 million expansion of the domestic terminal building’s southern end provides improved passenger flow, new security and safety features, seismic upgrades, and a more comfortable and efficient experience with new amenities, shopping and food options. A new baggage system between the domestic and international areas will allow for quicker baggage transport and less waiting for passengers. BIM coordination was extensively used to facilitate MEP systems interface with baggage handling system and the steel structure. We made sure every stage of the project was fully coordinated and planned prior to installation.

Marine Gateway (Marine Dr. Vancouver, BC)

Featuring 415 condominium suites and 46 dedicated rental suites, Marine Gateway is a three-tower mega mixed-use development in South Vancouver area. The entire design was developed in BIM to facilitate the coordination process. As a result, IFC drawings were much better-coordinated compared to similar projects. Ongoing BIM coordination over the course of construction meant less issues rising in construction site and as a result, less money and time wasted over resolving them.

Ambleside Phase 1 (West Vancouver, BC)

​A collection of 98 unique residences individually designed to meet the needs of each resident. BIM was used from early design stage all the way through construction to flag, address, and mitigate issues and conflicts to minimize change orders and the time and money spent on resolving issues on site. Areas such as parkade, mechanical rooms, and other common areas of the building were the main focus for BIM coordination as they contained the most complexity.

UBC District Energy Centre (Vancouver, BC)

​The District Energy Centre (DEC) is a new, $24 million state-of-the-art hot water boiler facility at UBC. Located in the heart of UBC’s 1,000 acre campus, the facility became operational in the fall of 2015, and capable of meeting all UBC’s heating requirements. BIM was extensively used to coordinate the heavy MEP component of the project including the base steel structure, duct routings, pipe, equipment and boiler tanks.

UBC Pharmaceutical Sciences Building (Vancouver, BC)

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and Centre for Drug Research and Development project site was fast track project and BIM was mandated by contract to be implemented from design through construction and project handover.

BIM was leveraged to drive design efforts to reflect Pharmaceutical Science’s world-class researchers, faculty, and the University’s status as an internationally recognized institution in science endeavors. While the architecture can in fact be striking, the design will go beyond that to promote enjoyable, livable spaces for research and learning.
